Job Description

Secfi is looking for a Senior UX Writer to join the Product Marketing team. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for driving a high-quality, cohesive customer experience for Secfi digital product environments through compelling copy.

Secfi helps startup employees understand, maximize and unlock the value of their stock options. We’ve worked with employees at 80% of US-based unicorns to provide education, tax planning tools and financing to help them on their journey from joining their company to IPO.

We also partner with executive teams and founders at high-growth startups to provide their employees with a better understanding of their equity package and enable them to buy their options without paying out of pocket.

Secfi is growing rapidly. Employees and executives use our online platform to better understand, and finance the exercising of, their equity — growing from $3bn in 2019 to $10bn in 2020. We’re now on our way to more than $30bn of equity in 2021. We have offices in Amsterdam and San Francisco and are looking to double the team by the end of this year.

The Team

You’ll be joining a small and experienced marketing team of digital, growth, content, brand, and product marketing professionals with experience in both B2C and B2B strategies. About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior UX Writer to join the Product Marketing team. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for driving a high-quality and cohesive client experience for Secfi’s digital product environments through compelling copy.

You’ll offer a content strategy perspective through the product development process and set the tone for our product messaging across our public website, Secfi.com, and our product platforms. You’ll work cross-functionally with a talented group of product managers, product designers, engineers, the client success team, leadership, and your colleagues in marketing to bring our product experience to life.

You are a seasoned writer, storyteller, and educator with a proven track record of using content to build relationships with potential clients through digital experiences. You have a deep understanding of the digital UX space - across desktop, mobile, chat and dynamic content - and a passion for what you do. You are especially energized by making complicated subject matter easy to understand for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Author all product and UX copy across digital platforms, including Secfi’s website - Secfi.com, Help Center, and within our product environment.
  • Establish, test, and maintain all product language systems and experience documentation.
  • Own Secfi’s quantitative and qualitative customer feedback program, including embedding surveys in opportune locations and NPS tracking.
  • Provide hands-on leadership to align creative and product copy direction and deliverables.
  • Partner with product, engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer experience to create and optimize collaborative copy processes, strategies, and tools.
  • Establish OKRs and regularly report on business impact.

What You Have

  • 5+ years of experience working as a UX copywriter with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of working with Product Management to build a successful user experience for a complex digital consumer product.
  • Skilled at translating complex concepts into everyday language.
  • Excellent knowledge of AP Style, American English spelling, grammar, punctuation, and usage.
  • Experience working with content management systems and building libraries of technical content served to users intuitively through digital products.
  • A stellar writing portfolio that shows creative range, experience with digital products, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Goal-oriented, creative, and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where context-switching and test/learn approaches are the norm.
  • Deep understanding of the UX space with active community involvement.
  • Well-read and passionate about startup equity with a high degree of intellectual horsepower.
  • Fintech startup experience is a plus.
