As a UX writer and member of the design team, you will help tackle complex financial problems and solve them with simple and elegant written solutions.

The Role

We are continuing our aggressive growth within the design team, and are looking for a UX Writer to support our growing portfolio of products – including a completely new product to be launched this year.

Prosper builds personalized and simple financial solutions for our customers. We believe in tapping into our engaged user base to uncover unmet needs and use our financial expertise to meaningfully improve our users’ financial lives. As a UX Writer and member of the design team you will help tackle complex financial problems and meet them with simple and elegant written solutions.

You’ll borrow from our voice and tone guidelines to design with words across various products and parts of our user journey. You’ll work collaboratively with various types of stakeholders, with a particular focus working directly with our UX designers and product managers.

Problems You Will Solve

  • Write clear, concise, and conversational copy for financial product experiences.
  • Work closely with UX designers to shape user flows and UI for our experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and Customer Success.
  • Work with stakeholders and reviewers to keep the brand voice consistent.
  • Work with our content strategy team to support everything from social posts to product flows and email to fully integrated campaigns
  • Work with stakeholders and reviewers to keep copy brand and tone across our experiences consistent.

All About You

  • A minimum of 1 year writing copy for a brand in an in-house creative department, ideally working on consumer facing products.
  • You can adjust Prosper’s brand voice and tone based on medium and audience.
  • You’re collaborative. You have experience (and love) partnering with a designer or marketer.
  • You’re a fast learner and can hit the ground running.
  • You’re interested in the actual business. You work to understand the strategies and goals of the Product and collaborate to achieve them through smart communications.
  • You take initiative, keep organized, and can handle multiple projects at once.
  • You’re enthusiastic about your work and about joining a close-knit team.
  • You have excellent writing and editing skills.
  • You can provide samples of your writing.

Nice To Have

  • Knowledge of financial services or personal finance a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree with English/Advertising/Journalism focus.
