We seek a senior technical writer and communication champion to join our team at Burgess, a HealthEdge company. In this role, you will work closely with subject matter experts and other various team members to gather and learn complex information to write and edit content for Burgess products and services.
You will be able to explore growing areas of our content offerings and utilize your experience with industry trends and practices to help expand our documentation library.

As a senior technical writer, you will be an important contributor whose talents help build better deliverables and experiences for our end users.
What You Will Do
Design, write, and edit product documentation, including user guides for software applications, reference lists, data dictionaries, and other product-related content.
Facilitate discussions with software developers and other subject matter experts to gather requirements for technical documentation.
Translate complex and technical ideas and processes into accurate, easily digestible, and engaging copy and visuals / diagrams.
Analyze and interpret documentation requests and requirements to determine appropriate communication solutions.
Collaborate with team members for continuous improvement on documentation process, branding consistency, and information delivery.
Maintain product help system, developing and updating content such as instructions, screenshots, workflow diagrams, and video tutorials as needed.
Contribute to special projects when needed, including proofing and editing content, layouts, and graphics for client-facing documents and associated media.
What You Bring
4-year degree in technical writing, communications, journalism, English, or comparable field.
Minimum 8 years of technical writing or relative experience
Expertise in documenting business enterprise software.
Familiarity with technical content, such as SQL Server databases, API, data dictionaries, and JSON or XML syntaxes.
Strong critical analysis skills and enthusiasm to learn.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups and individuals.
Ability to plan, prioritize, and balance the need for direction with self-motivated efforts.
Strong interpersonal skills treat people with respect, keep commitments, inspire the trust of others, and work ethically and with integrity.

Desired (Not Required)
Familiarity with the healthcare industry.
Experience in an agile SDLC environment.
Experience with Madcap Flare and / or familiarity with XML, HTML, and CSS.
