The Role
Weāre looking for a strong writer to create content that informs and engages leading brands and developers. Reporting into the Marketing Operations Manager and working closely with the CEO, youāll help execute the overarching content strategy, creating content for Distributedās blog, podcast and social channels.
As Distributedās lead content writer, youāll also provide copy for long-form content and demand generation initiatives, including email newsletters, promotional content, and landing pages.
Core Responsibilities
- Write content for the company blog, in accordance with Distributedās brand voice and SEO best practices.
- Develop content for Distributedās owned channels to support the social media strategy.
- Maintain Distributedās content library, optimizing historical content as appropriate.
- Edit and improve contributor content.
- Support the creation of infographics, e-books, and white papers.
- Provide copywriting support for demand generation initiatives, including email newsletters, event promotional materials, and landing pages.
- Report on content performance in relation to quarterly KPIs.
- Stay on the pulse of digital trends and new developments.
Requirements
- Experience in content marketing/content marketer.
- Experience in the technology/SaaS/ad tech industry.
- Experience working in a start-up environment.
- Experience writing about tech & tech industry eg. content about software development, the effect of software on society.
- Freelancing experience.
- Have thorough knowledge and understanding of social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
- Have experience writing for digital channels, with an understanding of SEO best practices.
- Have the ability to analyze content and social performance.
- Have strong project management skills and attention to detail.
- Have excellent communication, writing, and proofreading skills.
- Be a team player who thrives in working collaboratively.
- Experience/ability to create video & image content a plus, but not essential.
