Digital Privacy News (DigitalPrivacy.News - @digitalprivacy) launched in 2020 and has already established itself as a quality source of privacy news. Our mission is to deliver independent information and news coverage of “all things privacy.” We are seeking an Editor in Chief to take us to the next level.
The successful candidate must have excellent news judgement and be able to quickly identify and pursue a wide range of stories that will engage and enlighten our readership. The position also requires the candidate to possess strong headline writing and editing skills, a keen eye in choosing compelling images that help tell and support the story. A personal interest and passion for the topic of people's online privacy is a big plus.
Candidates should also be able to demonstrate a strong track record of news gathering, editing, breaking exclusive content, knowledge of modern news gathering tools and resources, and experience with talent scouting and management of freelance writers.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Reporting and writing original stories and reporting.
- Create social media posts on a daily basis.
- Identify, assign stories to and manage freelancers, including the execution of agreements and administrative requirements related to expenses/invoicing and managing related budget, and ensuring editorial quality of published result.
- Managing and curating the content of email newsletters.
