Datawire, the lead provider of Kubernetes edge infrastructure, is looking to hire a Director of Marketing to run all our conventional marketing functions and be the awareness engine for the company. This is an ideal position for a hands-on, up and coming generalist marketer to take on a significant role in a high growth, Kubernetes company. You will bring to the table a marketing super power or two, but you don't need to know it all. This role currently manages one intern and a team of part time contractors. Kubernetes, devops, and development tools experience is required. We plan on being remote for at least the next 8 - 12 months, so this position can be anywhere where you can work in Eastern Time Zone.
- Drive buzz for the company through PR/AR, influencers, social media, content generation- Create and amplify new lead generation for the sales team using traditional site conversion and paid advertising techniques- Build awareness by running online events for our extensive developer community as well as marketing programs with partners!- Manage all aspects (including design!) of the website, structure, CMS system, and corporate brand- Work closely with the recruiting team on employer branding- Execute on trade shows, meet ups, and user groups, upon return
- Strong generalist marketer with demonstrated ability to drive awareness- High energy and passionate about promoting Datawire (or will be), that you see and execute opportunities to promote us everywhere, everyday- Prior experience in tech working with IT infrastructure, applications or developers- Minimum of 3 years experience
This is an excellent opportunity for a current individual contributor, or current director buried in an organization to take on more responsibility in a high profile role in a flat sales and marketing organization. The position is one of the three pillar positions in the marketing team which includes a growth marketer, a product marketer and this position. This position reports into the COO.
