Job Description

The editorial team is the beating heart of The Block. Reporters and editors are constantly on the lookout for the biggest breaking news to help the audience navigate the ever-changing crypto landscape.

The Editorial team is the beating heart of The Block. Our reporters and editors are constantly on the lookout for the most important breaking news stories that help our audience navigate the ever changing crypto landscape. From industry defining scoops to in-depth investigations, The Block’s newsroom sets the standard for crypto journalism globally.

Responsibilities

  • Report on deals involving the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry
  • Build a deep set of contacts among VCs, startups and other dealmakers
  • Collect, verify and analyze newsworthy informationWrite and deliver news stories with our readers’ perspective in mind
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest current events in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry

Qualifications

  • Previous experience writing complex, financial news stories
  • Experience or interest in cryptocurrency / digital assets
  • Ability to juggle multiple stories and deadlines
  • Passion for technology, with a dash of skepticism where warranted
  • English-language writing or editing experience
  • Experience with cryptocurrency and blockchain a bonus but not mandated
