Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for creating marketing materials, social media, email, and website copy. They are looking for a candidate who is thinker as well as creative, innovative, and able to easily adapt to rapidly changing developer preferences.

We are a growing Tech publishing business in need of a creative copywriter who can connect with our developer base through multiple channels. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating marketing materials, social media, email and website copy.

We are looking for a candidate who is a thinker as well as creative, innovative and able to easily adapt to rapid changes in developer preferences. You must have multi-channel experience, as well as experience in producing creative and strategic campaigns. We are focused on providing a best-in-class developer learning experience, and you will have a significant role in helping us achieve that goal.


  • Produce and maintain a content calendar and comprehensive Marketing Content Plan that outlines goals, key product, brand messages and aligns to new title release, channel and communities’ promotions and Packt’s marketing campaign
  • Working with stakeholders across the company on creative and strategic campaigns
  • Transform content briefs into well-structured and well-read texts • Brainstorm new content ideas to increase the audience’s engagement • Develop engaging articles and content across a wide range of technologies such as Data Science, Web Development, Programming, Cloud and Cybersecurity
  • Project manage all content delivery, managing internal and external contributors, project plans, setting and achieving deadlines, within budget and scope
  • Provide oversight and editorial review of content provided by external or internal partners
  • Ensure content reflects current market trends and topics, reinforcing Packt’s reputation for being first to market on emerging tech
  • Translate creative direction and content needs or copy points from creative briefs into engaging and effective content
  • Ensure all content copy tone and style are consistent with brand requirements

  • A love of storytelling and all things creative and innovative
  • Understanding of tech is essential
  • Understanding the personas in the developer community.
  • Understanding what appeals and attracts them to engage directly with us
  • Ability to produce high-quality content under tough deadlines
  • Ability to translate content into hard and soft benefits and to create high level brand messages, collateral and USPs
  • Experience of writing in a variety of formats including thought-leadership articles, press releases, social media posts, bulletins, web content, white papers
  • Experience in writing SEO optimised content
  • Attention to detail and proof-reading skills • Introduce fresh insight and ideas, continually seeking improvement
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • To be a native English speaker
