LogMeIn is looking for someone who has the appetite to look at the big picture view of copy on our sites; with storytelling, advertising, and business goals in mind.

The LogMeIn Web & Ecommerce department is seeking a Copywriter. As a part of the Web UX/Content Strategy team, you’ll own the creation and improvement of copy and content throughout Goto.com and other LogMeIn web properties. Ecommerce represents the front door for the majority of our customers, and a primary revenue generator for LogMeIn.

We’re looking for someone who has the appetite to look at the big picture view of copy on our sites; with storytelling, advertising, and business goals in mind. Our ideal candidate is able to be creative and flexible when delivering conversion-oriented copy that makes prospects want to trial and buy our products. They are able to work with SEO partners to craft page content that performs well in search. They should possess an understanding of the marketing funnel and a consideration for how marketing web pages can be a successful part of it.

What you’ll do

  • Write consistent, cohesive copy for Lastpass.com (and other LogMeIn products’ websites), by working cross-functionally with:
  • Product Marketing, Demand Gen, and Web Ownership, to understand the audience, initiatives and business goals for our sites
  • UX designers and researchers, to create compelling experiences that bring our products’ best sides to light, and persuade prospects to convert
  • SEO teammates, to write copy that meets user needs and draws organic search traffic
  • Understand the brand voice for LastPass, and its role in the LogMeIn portfolio. Partner with the Brand team to tell the LastPass and Security portfolio stories, and ensure consistent corporate positioning throughout the site
  • Collaborate with UX researchers to test and refine copy through methods like usertesting.com, in-person, and live A/B testing – ensuring continuous improvement of our content against KPIs
  • Ensure content can be effectively translated for localization in LogMeIn’s global markets
  • Catalog website content for tracking, management, and maintenance purposes
  • Partner with content strategists and our lead copywriter to affect positive changes in our web experiences, across the entire LogMeIn portfolio

What you’ll need

  • A portfolio that demonstrates an understanding of marketing writing for the web
  • A good grasp on how to infuse and improve brand tone and voice in every written line
  • Demonstrable experience accepting feedback and iterating on content to improve the quality of your work
  • A variety of writing skills that run the gamut of short form marketing copy, UX writing, technical features and benefits, SEO, and everything in between

What we need

  • BA/BS degree in Communications, Marketing, Writing, or related field – or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience writing copy and developing content for the web
  • A track record of copywriting that conveys brand tone, resonates with users and their needs, and meets business requirements and business goals
  • Experience with conversion testing and landing page/funnel optimization is a plus
  • Experience writing web marketing content for B2C and/or B2B consumers, SaaS product experience is a plus
