Job Description

Human Interest is looking for a Content Marketing Manager to help them scale their growing content marketing engine.

We’re looking for a Content Marketing Manager to help us scale our growing content marketing engine. We need help pushing our organic/SEO content—including our Learning Center, newsletter, and customer stories—into overdrive as we become a top retirement benefits authority in the country. With an unwavering commitment to detail and strategy—and an ability to juggle multiple projects and shifting priorities—you thrive by working collaboratively and cross-functionally to ensure that high-quality content drives leads, builds our brand, and engages those we serve.

What You Get To Do Every Day

Content creation & strategy:

  • You can write, edit, and assign content across numerous channels, including (but not limited to) marketing collateral (one-pagers, eBooks, blogs, etc.), email, paid digital ads, social media, direct response (landing pages, ads, sales collateral), and website/product copy
  • You have the ability to develop and create content people want to consume—and know how to measure your efforts and test to improve results
  • You will target SMB owners, HR, payroll, and other decision-makers on the (quite possibly long) journey between now and retirement and are driven by ensuring a content asset reaches as many people as it can in the target audience
  • You have a proven track record with SEO, including keyword research, page optimization, and identifying new content opportunities
  • You ensure content is consistent with our brand voice, advances our position in the industry, and balances brand, quality, customer needs, and acquisition efforts
  • You have impeccable research skills, know how to find primary sources, pay attention to detail, and have strong editorial awareness and judgment

Project Management

  • You are familiar with modern content distribution strategies and technologies and are comfortable maintaining a CMS
  • You will help measure and report on the impact of content and gather insights that will help optimize content
  • You are able to prioritize multiple projects on fast-moving schedules and adept at quickly adjusting to last-minute requests or changing timelines/priorities with flexibility and good humor
  • You are skilled in collaborating cross-functionally, e.g. with engineering, design, sales, product managers, etc.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and can build a plan, execute on next steps, or delegate to the appropriate stakeholders that can

What You Bring To The Role

  • At least 4-6+ years of experience copywriting or creating content marketing collateral
  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Journalism, English, Finance, etc.
  • Professional background in Marketing, Content, SEO
  • Experience in B2B, finance/fintech, HR, or SaaS
  • A self-starter with an ability to own projects and work independently
  • Strong writing skills *with examples of work *
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry/retirement

Nice To Have

  • Certifications in SEO, digital marketing, etc.
  • Direct market research experience

Compensation - The salary range for this role is between $73,000 - $95,000. This information reflects a base salary range for this position based on current market data, and may vary by location. Exact compensation will be determined by the candidates' skills, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for additional incentives such as equity awards, short-term incentives, or sales compensation.
